Although she received a sound artistic education in Paris at the Académie Charpentier and at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs, Martine Sarrazin went on to study at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Rouen where she attended the painting course taught by Christian Sauvé et Robert Savary.

That's where this explosive mixture of inevitably artistic and enthralling effects come from, and through which Martine Sarrazin forged her distinct personality and a brilliant pictorial quality. This led her to the daring and talented style which is now hers and which is highly appreciated by salons and galleries where her works are enthusiastically exhibited.

What an unprecedented and dynamic way Martine Sarrazin has of painting! Never does she let herself get carried away by effects of volume to impress or enhance landscapes or floral arrangements that are strictly her own. Not her! She follows her path with a flowing vitality and total flexibility. Her painting is appealing due to her sense of balance, the brilliance of her remarkably interpreted realism and careful command of colours and shades. With a confident and decisive brush-stroke, she creates an elegance and luminosity that becomes clearer and increasingly sharper in her most recent works.

A great many qualities, wouldn't you say? You only need to see her work to be convinced of it, I can assure you, since it is incredibly stimulating in this 21st century to be confronted with artists that are at home with a reactive style of painting that reunites the best of everything that research and tradition can offer.
